PV RAPID SHUTDOWN TRANSMITTER

Introduction

The GateSea rapid shutdown PLC signal transmitter complies with the NEC2017&2023->2017&2020&2023(690.12) rapid shutdown specifications, as well as the SunSpec rapid shutdown protocol. It is available in both single and dual core options, with power supply choices of 85-264VAC for residential applications and 180-550VAC for commercial use.

Under normal conditions, the rapid shutdown transmitter sends a keep-alive signal to the rapid shutdown receiver to maintain power to the PV system. In the event of an emergency, the system can be rapidly shut down by activating the emergency stop switch or disconnecting the power supply to the transmitter.

Once the rapid shutdown signal transmitter is reactivated, the PV system resumes power production, allowing for a swift return to normal operation.
