2025 InterSolar South America!

GateSea Microelectronics launched the series-type fast shutdown device SID-2, debuted at 2025 InterSolar South America!

From August 26 to 28,2025, the annual largest photovoltaic exhibition in South America–2025 InterSolar South America Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition was held as scheduled in the North Convention Center of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Despite numerous uncertainties in the global photovoltaic market, Brazil’s solar sector remains in a golden development phase. According to the latest data from the Brazilian Solar Energy Association (Absolar), the country’s installed solar capacity is expected to surge by 25% in 2025, with new 13.2GW grid-connected capacity bringing the total installed capacity to over 64.7GW. This year, Brazil is poised to become the worlds third-largest photovoltaic market.

In February this year, ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) released NBR 17193:2025 – Fire safety in photovoltaic installations — Project requirements and specifications — Use in buildings. The technical standard establishes the mandatory AFCI (arc fault interruption system) and the FDR (rapid shutdown function) in buildings, their envelopes and associated risk areas, whatever their use (residential, commercial, industrial, whether public or private).Rapid Shut Device(RSD) have undoubtedly emerged as one of the hottest topics at this years trade shows.

The series-type fast shutdown SID-2 solution independently developed by GateSea Microelectronics reduces the implementation cost and installation difficulty of the system compared with other solutions on the market, while avoiding patent traps under the premise of meeting regulations and standards.

Choosing to debut in Brazil shows our importance and confidence in the local market.
