GateSea Microelectronics participated for the second time and proudly launched its new product—the series-connected rapid shutdown device SID-2.

According to the latest SEIA data, as of Q2’2025, the U.S. cumulative installed capacity has exceeded 255 GW, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 27% over the past decade. The substantial solar investment tax credit (ITC) federal policy has significantly reduced implementation costs and stimulated market demand. However, following the passage of the OBBB Act, the next five years will see conventional growth rates decrease by 10%, with annual additions estimated at 36-43 GW, including about 5GW from residential solar installations. Meanwhile, U.S. electricity demand is doubling, and the power supply gap is projected to reach 200GW by 2030, which can only be met by renewable energy sources. Therefore, the solar industry’s future market remains highly promising!

The series-type fast shutdown SID-2 solution independently developed by GateSea Microelectronics reduces the implementation cost and installation difficulty of the system while avoiding patent traps compared with other solutions on the market and meeting regulation codes and standards.

Through the exhibition, we can further strengthen our understanding of the demand of the US market, clarify the core demands of customers and partners in the target market, achieve efficient and direct communication, and lay a foundation for market expansion.
